Boy Scout Merit Badge Week

Waycross Community Media hosted 40 Boy Scouts in August as they earned the Cinematography, Photography, and Communications merit badges. Scouts spent three days giving speeches, videotaping programs and taking pictures (among other things) to fulfill the requirements of the badges. The sessions were led by Educational Access Coordinator Heather Wiltse, with help from Training Coordinator Chris Schnur. Congratulations to all the scouts who completed badges during these sessions.

PRODUCER SPOTLIGHT

Bishop Nadie Johnson

Bishop Nadie is starting her 15th year with Waycross Community Media this month.

Currently she is the Independent Producer of “A Time to Pray” Despite difficulties with her voice she has persevered through the years and produced “Destined for Greatness”, Deeper Life Ministries, and many other programs.

Bishop Nadie first certified in portable production in August of 1996 and volunteered on many productions as Videographer, Camera, and Graphics operator. After taking the Studio Production – Live class she worked with other Producers and continued to volunteer on Waycross Productions before starting her own Independent Live Production.

Her determination and loyalty has earned her a dedicated volunteer crew who help produce her  “A Time to Pray” live each month.

Bishop Nadie adds “Waycross has had many challenges, but we all stuck and stayed!” “And  Greater Things Are to Come”
