Summer Camp 2010
Waycross Community Media (Heather & Nicky) will once again host summer camps for area youth in grades 3 through 12. Campers will learn all about video production - Field Production, Editing, and Studio Production, and will produce several videos that will be shown on local cable TV.
Each week, campers will have the opportunity to join us on a field trip to have fun and get experience capturing footage in the field. (All field trips are included in the cost of camp this year.) This years schedule is still in the works, but past field trips have included Great American Ballpark, Paul Brown Stadium, WLWT-TV News 5, Cincinnati Observatory, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Fitworks Fitness Center, Greenhills Pool, Showcase Cinemas and Northwest Bowling Lanes.
Summer camp for kids in grades 6 –12 will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9 AM – 4:30 PM, from June 15 to August 5th, with no camp the week of July 4th. Early arrival (7:30 – 9 AM) and late departure (4:30 – 6 PM) is available for an extra charge.
Junior Summer Camp for kids in grades 3-6 will be held on Friday’s, 9 AM- 1 PM, from June 11 – August 13, with no camp on July 9.
Cost for campers in grades 6-12 is just $250 for residents of Greenhills, Forest Park, and Springfield Township and $300 for non-residents ($150.00 for each additional child from the same family).
Cost for campers in grades 3-6 is just $100 for residents, $150 for non-residents ($75 for each additional child from the same family).

Residents of the communities served by Waycross Community Media - Forest Park, Greenhills and Springfield Township - now have more options than ever when it comes to viewing programming created by and for their communities.
Government programming is now available 24 hours a day/7 days a week on both Time Warner Cable, Channel 23 AND online at www.waycross.tv/waycross23live. Residents can watch Council and Trustee meetings as well as call-in shows LIVE as they happen on both cable and the internet. (Note: a fast internet connection, such as DSL or a Cable modem is required).
Council and trustee meetings are also available via video on demand anytime at www.waycross.tv or Time Warner Cable, channel 411.
Educational Programming, including high school sports and concerts for the Winton Woods, Finneytown, Mt. Healthy and Northwest school districts as well as St. Xavier High School, is available on Time Warner Cable, Channel 4, and online at www.waycross.tv/waycross4live.
Waycross also offers replays of our Educational and Public programs via video-on-demand. Links to those videos and playback schedules can be found at www.waycross.tv.

Non-Profit Services
If you have an idea for a program for your non-profit organization - from an in-depth profile of the organization to coverage of a program or event - Waycross can help.
Waycross staff will work with you to write, produce, and edit your program - or cover your organizations event. The total fee for this service will be determined by the nature of the project. Your completed program will be available for distribution via a number of methods, including cable, the internet and DVD.
Waycross can also partner with you to fulfill requirements stipulated by many grants. Give us a call early in the grant writing process. As a not-for-profit organization, we have partnered on several grant projects in the past.
